Forest City Gear ha aggiunto un microscopio digitale full-HD avanzato EVO Cam al suo Quality Assurance Lab per velocizzare e semplificare notevolmente l'ispezione visiva delle parti di precisione. 

La EVO Cam fornisce all'operatore uno zoom ottico 30: 1 particolarmente ampio e un ingrandimento fino a 300x per visualizzare anche i dettagli più minuti del pezzo in video live ultra nitido Full HD 1080p / 60fps. Rispetto agli stereoscopi tradizionali tipicamente utilizzati per l'ispezione visiva delle parti, EVO Cam offre all'operatore di Forest City Gear un modo molto più rapido e accurato per rilevare bave, lacerazioni e altre anomalie di finitura superficiale che potrebbero esistere nei pezzi dopo la lavorazione. 

“It’s a particularly useful tool for the fine pitch, high precision gears we excel at producing for demanding aerospace applications,” says Quality Assurance Manager John Young.  “It’s also been invaluable for inspection of some of the gears we’ve produced for the Mars Rover 2020 program, where we’re striving for perfection. “

EVO Cam is well suited for fast visual inspection of gears, since it gives operators the ability to view the entire workpiece, or the smallest detail, at the touch of a button.  It also has a 360° rotating viewer capability to reveal an angled all-round view of the part.
